Discovering Cultural LegaciesPearl Island is blanketed by archaeological artifacts which are evidence of human settlements dating back 5,000 years. Many of these archaeological sites have been mapped, and many more are waiting to be discovered. Artifacts identified thus far range from tailing pits from early Indigenous cultures, pottery, fishing traps and petroglyphs. The project is committed to partnering with academic and research groups to continue exploring the island and investigating the discoveries. Please contact us for information on tours.
